ANDERSON, S.C. — Belmont Abbey senior forward Anna Richárd and senior midfielder Addie Galek earned spots on the All-Southeast Region from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Tuesday afternoon by the organization.

Richárd earned a first-team selection while Addie Galek was named to the second team. It is the first all-region honor for both student-athletes from D2CCA. Both were named as CSC Academic All-District honorees earlier in the day on Tuesday.

Richárd put together another outstanding season for the Crusaders, finishing with nine goals and 13 assists on the season. The 13 assists were tied for the most in all of Division II entering the NCAA Tournament. She earned first-team All-Conference Carolinas honors and was named the Division II United Soccer Coaches Player of the Month for October.

Galek had a career-best year, finishing with eight goals and five assists on the season. Additionally, she was a first-team All-Conference Carolinas selection and appeared in all 22 matches with 19 starts for the Crusaders this season.

In total, Conference Carolinas had nine all-region selections (four first-team, five second-team).

The Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.

Athletic communication professionals from Division II Southeast Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA all-region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced in December. The Division II Conference Commissioners sponsor the All-Region teams.
