14-6 overall and 10-2 in Conference Carolinas. The win moves the

Conference Carolinas standings. The two teams split the season
series.
Neither team was strong offensively, especially in the first set
as the Abbey hit .095 but held Erskine to a .049 attack. For the

In the clinching third set, the Abbey trailed 18-12 before it
made its move, winning the next five points. The Abbey used a kill
by Jubb, an attack error by Massey, a kill from Lydia Schellenberg
and two-straight attack errors from Lauren Stewart to pull the
Crusaders to within one at 18-17. Following kills from Stewart and
Lydia Schellenberg made the score 19-18 Erskine, a Stewart attack
error deadlocked the set at 19. Erskine grabbed the lead right back
with a kill from Murray, but a kill from Tiller, followed by an
Erskine attack error, gave the Crusaders the lead for the first
time since 7-6 earlier in the set.
Consecutive kills from Erskine gave it the lead at 22-21, but it
would never lead again. An error from Murray, and then another
after her attempt was blocked by Victoria Jensen and Jennifer
Angelich gave the Abbey a 23-22 lead. A Crusader error knotted the
game at 23, but Tiller ended the match by scoring the last two
points on a kill and a service ace to seal the win.
