Belmont Abbey sophomore forward Celene Molera scored the only goal of the match, with an assist from Courtney Paquin, as the Crusaders women's soccer team earned its seventh win in its last eight matches with a 1-0 win at Pfeifer this afternoon. The third-straight ups the Abbey's record to 9-4-0 and remains unbeaten in Conference Carolinas play with a record of 5-0-0, while Pfeiffer falls to 5-6-1 overall and suffers its first conference loss, falling to 4-1-0. The Abbey has now shutout five of its last seven opponents.

Molera scored the only goal of the match at the 66:52 mark, as she got behind the Falcon defense on a breakaway and beat goalkeeper Suzie Hinman for the goal.

Goalkeeper Anna Wells made five saves in the net for the Abbey.

Molera's goal is her seventh of the year, placing her in a tie for the team lead with Erin Kolb, and extends her goals scored streak to three matches.
