BANNER ELK, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team continued its early stretch of road games as the Crusaders faces Lees-McRae in the Conference Carolinas opener Saturday afternoon at Tate Field.
Belmont Abbey was held in check as a second-half goal proved to be the difference as the Bobcats defeated the Crusaders 1-0.
Belmont Abbey is now 1-1-2 overall and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas play while Lees-McRae remains unbeaten at 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the league.

- Jackson Bennett made three of his five saves in the first half.
- Finn Williams took the lone shot of the match for the Crusaders in the 25th minute.
- The lone goal of the match came in the 72nd minute for the Bobcats.
- The Crusaders had one corner kick in the match.
