TIGERVILLE, S.C. -- Belmont Abbey dropped the first set to North Greenville, then rallied over the next three to claim a share of the 2026 Conference Carolinas regular-season title Wednesday night. The 3-1 (23-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-x) victory also ensure the Crusaders the No. 1 seed as they hold the tiebreaker over Mount Olive.
With the win, The Abbey improves to 17-4 overall and 12-1 in league play, while the Trailblazers fall to 11-10, 6-7.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zach Puentes led four players with double figures in kills with 14, while adding five service aces and eight digs.
- TJ Neville tallied 12 with Jibriel Elhaddad notching 11 kills and no errors (.688 on 16 attempts). He also tallied six digs.
- Caden Day finished with 10 kills, three aces and six digs.
- Joseph Morris dished out 42 assists and had five blocks. He also registered six digs.
- Alejandro Leon led the defensive effort with 16 digs.
