CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey battled cross-town rival Queens in the final regular-season road match of the season, coming up just short in a 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 27-25) decision against the Royals.The six point difference ended a seven-match winning streak.
With the result, The Abbey falls to 17-5, while Queens concludes its season at 8-19.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Caden Day led the Crusaders with 13 kills, while adding six digs and two blocks. He also served one ace.
- Jibriel Elhaddad registered nine kills and a team-high four blocks, while Zach Puentes added eight kills and six digs.
- Joseph Morris dished out 31 assists and had three blocks.
- Alejandro Leon led the defensive effort with seven digs.
