GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey women's lacrosse team has seven student-athletes earn all-conference honors as the Conference Carolinas league office releases the full teams Wednesday. Four Crusaders — Abbey McCarthy, Triniti Cassidy, Taylor Tobin and Summer Eddinger — were named to the first team. Katelyn Miller earned second team honors while Caitlyn Marone and Faith Piser earned spots on the third team.

The teams were voted on by the league's head coaches.

McCarthy was named to the all-conference team for the first time in her career. The junior had a breakout season for the Crusaders, finishing with a career-high 33 goals and 21 assists and leading the team with 54 points.

Cassidy had a team-high 44 goals to go with nine assists to make her third straight all-conference team. She earned Conference Carolinas Player of the week honors earlier this week and 45 draw controls, 26 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers over the span of the regular season.

Tobin was an impact player in her first year as a Crusader. She led the team with 34 caused turnovers to go with 28 ground balls and 28 draw controls. She also scored two goals on the season.

Eddinger is a four-time all-conference selection and is on the first team for the third time in her career. She is the program's all-time saves leader with over 500 and has started and played in every game this season and made 116 saves over the span of the regular season.

Miller is back on the all-conference team for the third consecutive year as she finished with 29 goals and 16 assists during the regular season. She earned a second-team spot after being on the third team the last two seasons.

Marone is back on the team for the second straight season as she was a key defender for Belmont Abbey. Over the span of the regular season, she caused 14 turnovers and had 27 ground balls. She also earned Defensive Player of the Week honors from the conference earlier this season.

Piser is on the team for the first time after finishing her regular season with 13 caused turnovers and 20 ground balls. She was also a key part of the defense for Belmont Abbey.
