BELMONT, N.C. -- Brendan Boschi tallied five goals and an assist and Nate Lorenzo added four goals, leading Belmont Abbey to a 14-11 victory over Lees-McRae in Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse action Wednesday night.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in league play while the Bobcats fall to 3-5, 1-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Blaze Becker scored three goals on just three shots, while Garren Berkman and Colby Dobbins added a goal each to round out the scoring.
Jeremy Mahoney recorded three assists, with Tristan Koumentakos credited with two.
Jack Polhill grabbed six ground balls. with John Valetto tallying five.
Eddie Kielkopf made seven saves in goal
Belmont Abbey fell behind 1-0, but scored five unanswered goals for a 5-1 lead at the quarter break.
The Crusaders opened an 14-8 lead midway through the fourth quarter, but LMC rattled off three goals in a span of 2:19.
