BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Caden Day and Zack Puentes combined to hit .438 and Belmont Abbey had 10.5 team blocks, leading the Crusaders to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-20) 25 19 25 20) victory over King in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action Tuesday night.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 16-4 overall and 11-1 in league play while the Tornado fall to 4-19, 0-12.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Day had a team-high nine kills with just two errors in 19 attempts (.368), while Puentes hit .538 on eight kills (1e-13a).
- Joseph Morris dished out 30 assists and a career-high 10 blocks.
- Jibriel Elhaddad had five kills and six blocks.
- TJ Neville but the defensive effort was six digs while Alejandra Leon had five.Â
- As a team, The Abbey had one block solo and 19 block assists.
