Miller-Madden Tosses Gem as No. 24 Abbey Baseball Shuts out Mars Hill

BELMONT, N.C. — Davin Miller-Madden made the most of his first start of the season by striking out 11 batters and allowing just two hits in seven innings as the Belmont Abbey baseball team defeated Mars Hill Wednesday evening at Abbey Yard.

The game was rescheduled from February 3 due to inclement weather.

The 11 strikeouts was a season high by a Crusader this season as the team won its seventh straight game. Josh Wilson finished with two hits and drove in two runs to lead the Abbey offensively.

With the win, Belmont Abbey improves to 23-8 on the season while Mars Hill is 13-17-1.
