FLORENCE, S.C. -- Daniel Lubamba and
Gabe Cerda scored 16 points each, but Francis Marion earned an 81-69 victory over Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Saturday afternoon.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 6-14 overall and 4-10 in league play, while the Patriots improve to 7-14, 7-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lubamba (6 of 12) and Cerda (5 of 9) combined to hit 11 of 21 from the field.overall. They both made four three-pointers.
- Judah Ravenell also reached double figures with 10 points.
- Lubamba led The Abbey with eight rebounds, while Alhousseny Diallo chipped in five. Both players had a blocked shot.
- Lex Van Den Bergh dished out a career-high six rebounds to lead the team.
- Belmont Abbey shot 47.3 percenf from the field, but Francis Marion countered at 51.9 percent.
