CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- John Hetzel posted a Top 60 finish against a field consisting of several Division I programs, leading Belmont Abbey at the 2025 Queen City Invitational Friday evening at McAlpine Creek Park. He finished the 8k course in a time of 25:58.7 for 60th place.
In a field dominated by Division I teams, Charlotte was the team winner with nine runners in the top 15, including the overall champion. The Crusaders placed 16th.
Belmont Abbey returns to action next Saturday at Wingate's Bulldog Invitational. The event is run on the same course as the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional in November.
