HICKORY, N.C. --Â Belmont Abbey saw 10 Conference Carolinas Championship-qualifying standards met on Friday as the Crusaders opened their final regular-season meet of the year, the Southside Power & Fitness Invitational hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne.
The Abbey took spots 1-4 in the 1500m Run, led by
John Hetzel, while
Clinton Hubbard and
Irenge Nkere posted the second-and third-best steeplechase times in school history.
The meet continues tomorrow and Sunday.
