NINETY SIX, S.C. and OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team wrapped up play on a busy day as three Crusaders finished in the Top 10 at two separate tournaments Tuesday.

Max Newton finished with a 3-under par total to finish tied for seventh at the Lander Bearcat Classic while Ryan Woodley and Dylan Reiser finished third and tied for eighth, respectively, at the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational.

At the Patriot Golf Club of Grand Harbor, Newton completed his second round with a 2-over par 74 before closing with a 2-under par 70 for a 54-hole total of 213 (-3). He helped the Crusaders finish in a tie for eighth as a team with Ashland and move up four spots from where the team ended the day Monday.
Belmont Abbey closed the tournament strong with a 2-under par team total of 286. Along with Newton, Eduardo Arango and Will Muldoon shot rounds of 70 and 71, respectively, to the help the Abbey finish under par for the round.

Wingate won the tournament with a 17-under par total led by Jordan Hyland, who took home medalist honors.  

For the two teams competing at the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational, the two Crusader teams (C) and (D) finished third and tied for sixth, respectively, at Ocean Ridge Plantation. Ryan Woodley led the way for the Crusaders D team and finished in third alone with a two-day total of 151 (73-78). Competing on the C team, Dylan Reiser finished with a two-day total of 155 (76-79). Teagan Mauro had the low round of the day for the Crusaders with a 76.

As a team, Belmont Abbey C finished with a two-day total of 628 while Belmont Abbey D finished with a 640 two-round total.
