Three Crusaders in Top 10 after Opening Day of Trojan Open

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team got off to a good start as three Crusaders sit in the top 10 following the opening 36 holes of the Trojan Open Monday at Walnut Creek Country Club.

The Crusaders sent two teams to the tournament and both of them sit tied for third in the team standings with two-round totals of 590. Dylan Reiser leading the way with a 1-under par total of 143 and is tied for fourth. He is part of the second team of Crusaders. Teagan Mauro also had an under-par round in the second round with a 71 and is tied for 17th with Kellen Adickes.

On the A team, Eduardo Arango is just a shot back at even par and is tied for sixth while Max Newton is tied for ninth at 2-over par. The A team finished with identical rounds of 295 while the B team finished with a 301 and 289.

Barton leads the team standings at 13-under par followed by Lenoir-Rhyne at 5-under. Barton's Winston Knobloch is 10-under par through two rounds as the top medalist.
