GREENVILLE, S.C. — Belmont Abbey's Eduardo Arango earned a Top 10 finish to open the spring season as the men's golf team concluded play at the Bearcat Spring Invitational Tuesday at The Preserve at Verdae.
 
Arango followed up his opening round of 1-under par 71 with an even par 72 in Round 2 and a 75 in round three. He finished the tournament with a two-over par total of 218. Mariano Estebanez Rincon and Elian Infante each had Top-20 finishes with scores of 220 (+4) and a tied for 18th.
 
Max Newton closed out his tournament in 12th at 3-over par 219 (72-75-72).
 
As a team, Belmont Abbey finished fifth with a three-round total of 884 (293-294-297). Wingate won the tournament with an even-par team total. Catawba's Paul Esnault won the individual title after winning a playoff.
