BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Jibriel Elhaddad registered eight kills and six blocks, leading Belmont Abbey to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-23) victory over Lees-McRae in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action Tuesday night.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 8-6 overall and 6-1 in league play, while the Bobcats fall to 2-13,2-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elhaddad hit .636 with just one error in 11 chances. His six blocks (all assists) were his second-high total of the season behind seven vs. Fort Valley State.
- Zach Puentes led the offensive attach with nine kills, while Caden Day and Garrett Hockman added six each.
- Joseph Morris dished out 26 assists, while registering five block assists of his own. He also tallied a kill and one of the team's two service aces.
- Ryan Charles served the other ace.
- Day led the defensive effort with five digs, while Puentes and Morris had four each.
- The Crusaders hit .359 (33k-10e-64) in the contest, including .405 (22k-5e-42a) over the first two sets.
- The Bobcats hit just .012 over three sets.
