PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. — Max Newton carded a final round of two-under 68 Tuesday to move up 14 places to a tie for 12th at the Spring Bulldog Clash at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. He finished the event at three-under 207.

Scores proved higher on the second day of the tournament, but Mariano Estebanez Rincon, Eduardo Arango and Will Muldoon all posted rounds of 75 or better.

As a team, Belmont Abbey finished 12th with an 11--over par total of 851. Wingate (-15) won the team title, while Lander's Gaston Edberg took medalist honors by one stroke at 12-under 198.
