PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team returned to the course for the opening two rounds of the Spring Bulldog Clash Monday at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
On a day that had plenty of low scores, the Crusaders had four rounds under par on the day as
Mariano Estebanez Rincon finished with a 3-under par total of 137. He opened with a 2-under 68 and followed that with a 69.
Max Newton opened with a 69 and was 1-under par for the day while
Eduardo Arango had the low round of the day for Belmont Abbey with a 3-under par 67 in round two.
As a team, Belmont Abbey is 11th with a 1-over par total of 561. Wingate (-17) leads the tournament. Jeremy Tandoy of Arkansas-Fort Smith leads individually with a 9-under par total.
