WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Kelly Hay set meet and school records in winning the pole vault title and
Dayzhaun Gooding-Williams placed third in the long jump, highlighting Belmont Abbey's Day One at the 2025 Conference Carolinas Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship.
Hay clinched the top spot on the podium by clearing 4.58m (15'-0.25"), then made two more successful jumps (4.70m and 4.85m). Gooding-Williams leaped 6.86m (22'-6.25") on his first attempt of the finals to claim his spot on the podium.
The Crusaders stand fourth with five of 17 events scored. The meet concludes tomorrow.
