GREENVILLE, S.C. — Belmont Abbey acrobatics & tumbling student-athlete earned Athlete of the Week honors as the league office unveiled the awards Tuesday.
 
Froman was honored after she helped the Crusaders earn a season-opening win over Converse on Saturday. She competed in six events and her highlights included competing in compulsory pyramid as the top scoring a 9.7 out a 10.0. She also helped score a 9.55/10 in 5-element acro as well, a 9.1/10 in synchronized pyramid and an 8.9 out of 9.6 in the open toss.
 
She and the rest of the Crusaders will return to competition in a tri-meet against Limestone and Newberry on Friday. The meet is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start in Gaffney, S.C.
