FLORENCE, S.C. --
Renata Bolado and
Kyleigh Coghlan each had 22 digs but it was not enough as Conference Carolinas leader Francis Marion knocked off Belmont Abbey 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-15) in women's volleyball action Friday night.
WIth the result, the Crusaders fall to 11-15 overall and 7-12 in league play, while the Patriots improve to 19-9, 16-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bolado tallied 12 kills for her 13th double-double of the season. She hit .243 with three errors in 37 attempts, while also recording an an assist.
- Katie Brookins and Chloe Lowder posted nine and eight kills, respectively.
- Coghlan's dig total was her career-best at Belmont Abbey. She had 19 at Young Harris earlier this year.
- Emma Youngblood also posted a double-double -- her 12th of the campaign -- with 35 assists and 12 digs.
- Maya Swenson had two of the Crusaders' four service aces. Youngblood and Mary Grace Hogue had the others.
- Lowder and Jordan Medina registered blocks.
