Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Late Equalizer from Frias Helps Abbey Earn 1-1 Draw with NGU

TIGERVILLE, S.C. — Marcos Frias scored his first goal of the season with just under four minutes remaining as the Belmont Abbey men's soccer team rallied to earn a 1-1 draw against Northwest Division leader North Greenville Tuesday evening at Pepsi Stadium. Frias scored after a late shot from Darren Lawlor was saved but not secured as Frias was there to tap the ball in off the deflection.

The Crusaders overcame playing a man down for the majority of the second half to hand NGU its first non-winning result in Northwest Division play this season.

With Tuesday's result, Belmont Abbey is now 3-3-3 overall and 2-3-3 in Conference Carolinas play after earning its second straight draw. North Greenville is now 6-2-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the league.
