BELMONT, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey used a team effort Saturday afternoon to claim a 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 25-16) victory over Erskine in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action at the Wheeler Center.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 9-11 overall and 5-8 in league play, while the Flying Fleet fall to 6-15, 4-9.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Belmont Abbey hit just .178 as a team with 21 kills, but limited Erskine to an opponent season-low -.049 hitting percentage.
- Renata Bolado led the offense with six kills, while Katie Brookins added five.
- Bolado also had a team-high 10 digs, one more than Mallory Swain.
- Chloe Lowder tallied a team-best six blocks, while registering four kills.
- As a team, The Abbey served a season-high 13 aces, Maya Swenson led the way with five, while Bolado and Mary Grace Hogue had three each.
- Emma Youngblood dished out 17 assists, while serving the other two aces. She also had six digs.

- Belmont Abbey travels to North Greenville on Wednesday for a Northwest Division matchup.
