YOUNG HARRIS, Ga.-- Belmont Abbey forced a fifth set after falling behind 2-0, but Young Harris emerged with a 3-2 (25-21, 25-14, 20-25, 22-25, 15-12) victory over the Crusaders in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Friday night.
With the result, The Abbey falls to 8-8 overall, 4-5 in league play, while the Mountain Lions improve to 7-11, 4-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Renata Bolado equaled her career high with 22 kills, hitting .360 (22k-4e-50a).
- Chloe Lowder connected at a .323 clip with 14 kills, while adding three block solos.
- Jordan Medina was the third Crusaders to hit double figures in kills with a career-best 12.Â
- Emma Youngblood earned her sixth straight double-double with 45 assists and 16 digs and now has eight for the season. She added a team-best three service aces.
- Two other Crusaders topped double figures in digs -- Kyleigh Coghlan (19) and Sheridan Young (15)
- Friday marked the seventh time in 16 matches that the Crusaders have gone five sets. They are 3-4 during that stretch. It was also the fifth straight Friday match that has gone the distance.
