Zach Puentes hit .357 with 13 kills and
Joseph Morris added 36 assists and seven digs, leading Belmont Abbey to a 3-1 (25-21, 20-25, 25-16, 25-15) victory over Catawba in non-conference men's volleyball action Wednesday night.
The victory evens the Crusaders' record at 1-1, while the Indians fall to 1-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Puentes finished with just three errors in 28 chances. He added three assists, five digs and two blocks to his stat line.
- Ethan Rehman had nine kills with a .538 hitting percentage and had three blocks, while Morris also chipped in two blocks.
- Caden Day recorded eight kills and equaled Morris for the team digs lead with seven.
- Luke Zelnis finished with six kills off the bench.
- As a team, The Abbey had 51 kills and a .269 hitting percentage with 10 team blocks.

- Belmont Abbey faces a quick turnaround with a match tomorrow against local rival Queens.
