BELMONT, N.C. -- Freshman
Jordan Patton led Belmont Abbey in both points and rebounds but Lees McRae earned a 65-36 victory over the Crusaders in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Tuesday night.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 1-9 on the season and 0-7 in league play (0-3 in the Northwest Division), while the Bobcats 4-9, 3-6, 1-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Patton finished the contest with eight points and a career-high-tying eight rebounds. Half of his points came at the free throw line (4 of 6).
- Judah Sault added six points and grabbed three rebounds, while three others tallied five points.
- Daniel Lubamba finished the contest with five points, six boards and a steal
- The halftime deficit was just nine points at 29-20, but the Bobcats held a 36-16 after intermission

- Belmont Abbey faces its next two contests on the road, beginning Saturday at league leader and regionally-ranked UNC Pembroke.
