BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey rallied for a win in the opening set, but Lees-McRae responded for a 3-1 (24-26, 26-24, 25-12, 25-20) victory in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Wednesday night.
With the result, the Crusaders falls to 3-8 overall and 2-1 in league play, while the Bobcats improve to 9-2, 2-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tyler Case posted her second double-double of the season and eighth of her career with 14 kills and 10 digs. She also had a solo block.
- Lola Sultenfuss registered a team-high hitting percentage of .421 with 11 kills against three errors in 19 attempts.Her kill total was a season-high and just one shy of her career-best.
- Ella Schellenberg dished out 36 assists, while adding six digs.
- Kyleigh Coughlin and Riley Nickol each served an ace.
- Lily Marsh led the defensive effort with 14 digs.
