GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Belmont Abbey graduate
Will Locey concluded his Belmont Abbey career with the final round of the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Saturday at Chattahoochee Golf Club.
Locey carded a final round of 77 to finish with a three-round total of 223 and finished in a tie for 51st. He finished with two birdies on the day, both on the front nine on the par-5 6th hole and the Par-4 ninth hole.
He concluded his season as as the first Belmont Abbey men's golfer to compete in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional since Nick Stafford and Levi Kettelhut did so in 2018.
The top five teams and top two individuals not on those teams advanced to the National Championships set to be held May 21-25 at the Orange County National Golf Club in Winter Park, Florida. Host North Georgia won the team title with UNG's Jack Vadja winning top medalist honors at 8-under par.
