Three Crusaders Earn Top 10 Finishes at Griffin Invitational

PETERSBURG, Va. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team put together a strong finish after the final round of the Griffin Invitational Tuesday at the Country Club of Petersburg. Three Crusaders — Eduardo Arango, Max Newton and Will Muldoon — all earned Top 10 finishes. Arango was the top finisher for the Abbey, landing in a tie for seventh with a 1-under par total. He shot a final round 71 along with Newton, who finished tied for 10th at even par. Muldoon finished with the same even par total.
 
The two teams for the Crusaders finished third and 14th, respectively. The A team finished with a two-over par total after shooting 289 Tuesday. Mariano Estabanez Rincon shot a 2-over par 74 to round out the top four scores on the day for the Abbey.
 
On the B team, Ryan Woodley was the top finisher with a three-round total of 230 (+14). He shot 78 on the day while Ethan Ashby and Connor Rose both shot 79.

Catawba went on to win the tournament with an 8-under par total and Paul Esnault won a playoff to take top medalist honors.
