OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C./GREENWOOD, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team completed play at two different tournaments Tuesday with one team of Crusaders taking home a team title at the Pfeiffer Invitational.
 
In the Bearcat Classic, the Abbey finished eighth out of 20 teams with Will Locey finishing in a tie for 26th. Locey shot the low round of the day for the Crusaders with a 3-under par 69. He was one of two Belmont Abbey golfers who completed his second round Tuesday morning. Sam Newton closed his second round with a 69 as well.
 
Connor Rose and Nick Norman each had final rounds of 70. As a team, Belmont Abbey shot 12-under par after closing with rounds of 7 and 6-under par, respectively.
 
At the Pfeiffer Invitational, Belmont Abbey had three golfers finish in the Top 10 individually led by Elian Infante (75-74), who finished fourth. Jack Crawford (77-76—153) from the C team and Zach Murrow (78-75—153) from Belmont Abbey 'B' finished tied for 10th.
 
Belmont Abbey 'B' shot a final round 300 to take the team title over Covenant College.
 
The Crusaders take a couple of weeks off before competing at the Ralph Hargett Invitational March 18 and 19th in Monroe, N.C. at Rolling Hills Country Club.
