Zach Puentes each topped double figures in kills and
Joseph Morris posted his first career double-double of the season, lifting Belmont Abbey to a 3-2 (25-20, 23-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-9) win over Erskine in Conference Carolina's men's volleyball action Friday night.
The victory was the seventh straight for the Crusaders, who improved to 11-2 overall and 7-1 in league play, while the Flying Fleet falls to 9-6, 5-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Staskunas tallied a career-high 21 kills, hitting .327. He added five digs, five block assists and two service aces.
- Puentes connected at a .320 clip with 13 kills against five errors in 25 chances.
- Morris dished out 45 assists and had a career-high 14 digs.
- Alejandro Leon paced the defensive effort with 16 digs.
