PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's golf team returned to the course Monday to compete in the Spring Bulldog Classic at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
 
All teams were able to complete one round but were not able to finish the second round due to darkness.
 
Based on first round scores, the Crusaders are 14th as a team after opening with a 290.
 
Nick Norman and Connor Rose led the way for The Abbey in the opening round as both finished with 1-over par 71s followed by Jacob Ferrari with a 72. Will Locey and Sam Newton rounded out the team with rounds of 76 and 77, respectively.
 
Based on second round scores available, the Crusaders had two or three holes remaining with Norman leading the way with a strong 4-under par score through 16 holes.

The tournament wraps up with the conclusion of the second round followed immediately by the third round.
