DJ Holloway and
Wade Jackson both reached double figures in scoring and
Alhousseny Diallo grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds, but Young Harris used a late run to earn a 72-68 victory in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action Saturday afternoon.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 9-14 overall and 7-6 in league play, while the Mountain Lions improve to 14-9, 8-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Holloway hit a team-high three three-pointer and seven of eight free throw tries to reach double figures for the sixth time this season. He was just one point shy of his career-high.
- Jackson hit six field goals, one from three-point range, and his only free throw attempt. He also added a team-high six assists.
- Young Harris held a 41-31 rebounding advantage and had one fewer turnover (11-10).
- The Mountain Lions hit just 43.6 percent from the field (24 off 55), but held The Abbey to 34.5 percent (19 of 55).
