BELMONT, N.C. — Ian Pitstick tallied his first goal of the season as the Belmont Abbey men's soccer team returned to action against North Greenville Wednesday afternoon in a game that had been suspended back on September 24.
It was the second career goal for Pitstick but it was the Trailblazers who came away with the 3-1 victory. The two teams played the final 34:28 of the contest Wednesday after the game was suspended due to inclement weather.
With Wednesday's results, Belmont Abbey is now 3-5-2 overall and 2-4-1 in Conference Carolinas play. North Greenville is 3-1-3 overall and 1-1-3 in league play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Prior to play being suspended, NGU scored two goals in the first half in the 15th and 30th minute, respectively.
- The Crusaders took three shots in the first half.
- North Greenville added a third goal just over two minutes into the second half.
- Belmont Abbey took five shots in the second half, all of which came Wednesday afternoon in the restart.
- Jackson Bennett made his first appearance for the Crusaders in goal and made one save in the contest.
- Pitstick's goal came with just over five minutes left in the match.

Belmont Abbey plays host to Northwest Division foe Lees-McRae at 7 p.m. Saturday from Alumni Field.
The Crusaders defeated the Bobcats 1-0 back on September 18 in Banner Elk.
