BELMONT, N.C. --
Tyler Case posted her fifth double-double of the season with 17 kills and 19 digs but Belmont Avenue dropped a 3-1 (28-26, 25-27, 25-21, 25-20) decision to Young Harris in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Friday night.
The result drops the Crusaders to 6-15 overall and 4-8 in league play while the Mountain Lions improve to 4-11, 4-7.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Case's kill total was a season high, while the digs number equaled her career-best. She added two service aces.
- Lola Sultenfuss topped double figures in kills for the fourth time this year and second in a row with 15. She connected at a .281 (15k-6e-32a) and shared team-high honors with three blocks.
- Ella Schellenberg dished out 42 aces, while Lily Marsh also reached double figures in digs with 13.
- Kyleigh Coghlan served a team-best four aces, while Schellenberg and Riley Nickol and added three each. Nickol registered eight digs as well.
UP NEXT
- After playing the last five games in the friendly confines of the Wheeler Center, the Crusaders take to the road tomorrow.
- They face Converse in a Northwest Division clash at 2 p.m. in Spartanburg.
