Lola Sultenfuss tallied a career-high 16 kills and
Ella Schellenberg recorded her fifth double-double of the season but King took a 3-1 (25-19, 25-16, 20-25, 25-18) victory over Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Wednesday night.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 6-14Â overall and 4-7 in league play (0-4 in the Northwest Division), while the Tornado improves to 6-8, 4-6, 1-2).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sultenfuss topped her previous best of 12 against Barton last year while registering a .343 hitting percentage (16k-4e-35a). She added four digs, a service ace and a block assists.
- Schellenberg dished out 33 assists and made 10 digs.
- Three other players reached double figures in digs -- Lily Marsh (16), Riley Nickol (11) and Tyler Case (11). The 67 digs as a team tied for fourth-most this season.
- Case chipped in nine kills and three block assists.
- Chloe Lowder made six blocks in addition to her four kills.
