MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. -- Casey Etter scored her fourth goal of the season and
Chloe Parker made six saves, but 10th-ranked Mount Olive posted a 6-1 victory over Belmont Abbey in South Atlantic Conference field hockey action Wednesday afternoon at the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 0-8 overall and 0-6 in the SAC, while the Trojans improve to 6-3, 5-2 SAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After falling behind 2-0 early in the second quarter, Etter cut the deficit in half just 29 seconds before halftime. She was assisted on the play by Jessica Rybicki.
- But UMO answered with the first of four second-half goals less than a minute into the third quarter.
- Mount Olive outshot The Abbey 23-5, including 12-4 on goal.
