BELMONT, N.C. --
Chloe Lowder tallied eight kills and four blocks -- both team highs -- but Belmont Abbey dropped a 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-23) decision to league-leader Emmanuel in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 6-13 overall and 4-6 in league play, while the Lions improve to 13-7, 10-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lowder finished the match with just one error in 23 attempts for a .304 hitting percentage. She had one block solo and three assist to finish with 10.5 points.
- Lola Sultenfuss connected at a .267 pace (8k-4e-15a) with one block assists.
- Ella Schellenberg dished out 14 assists and added five digs, while Emma Youngblood added eight assists.
- The Crusaders had eight service aces in the contest with Tyler Case and Bailey Rowe leading the way with two each. Case added two block assists and six digs.
- Lily Marsh was the defensive leader with nine digs.
