Tyler Case posted her 11th career double-double and
Ella Schellenberg added 29 assists and eight digs, but UNC Pembroke took a 3-1 (25-16, 20-25, 25-22, 25-19) victory over Belmont Abbey in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Friday night. The contest was originally scheduled for Sept. 28, but was postponed by Hurricane Helene.
With the result, the Crusaders fall to 6-9 overall and 4-2 in league play. The Braves improve to 7-9, 4-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Case registered 10 kills and 11 digs for her fifth double-double of the year. She was also credited with a block assist.
- Katie Brookins matched the kills effort with 10 of her own. Lola Sultenfuss and Chloe Lowder added seven each. Lowder hit .312 and had a team-best three blocks (two solo).
- Belmont Abbey served seven aces, led by Riley Nickol with three and Lily Marsh with two. Mallory Swain and Kyleigh Coghlan tallied the other two.
- Marsh made a season-high 18 digs to lead the team.
