CHARLOTTE, N.C. --
Nathan Gallman set a school record as the lone Gold Division entrant, while three Crusaders placed in the top 20 of the Blue Division, helping Belmont Abbey to a fourth-place finish in the 21-team field. The meet, which was the regular-season finale, was hosted by Queens at McAlpine Park.
Gallman covered the 8k course in a time of 25:23.31 to place 53rd in a competition featuring both Division I and Division II teams.
John Hetzel placed ninth in the Blue Division race, which featured Division II and Division III schools He ran 26:36.7, while
Adam Willett and
Dominic Coffman came in 13th and 18th, respectively.
Belmont Abbey returns to action in two weeks at the Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Championship. The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Milliken Park in Spartanburg.
