ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- Belmont Abbey completed an undefeated run at the Battle 4 the Boardwalk Saturday, sweeping Sacred Heart 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-19). The Crusaders took all three matches at the season-opening event.

Zach Puentes tallied 10 kills and six digs to lead The Abbey.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Joseph Morris dished out 32 assists to pace the offense.
• Alex Winiarczyk registered eight kills, while Matthew Staskunsas and Jibriel Elhaddad chipped in seven each.
• Alejandro Leon had a team-best seven digs
• The Crusaders hit .351 as a team (35k-9e-74a), the best in the three games at the tournament.
