FLORENCE, S.C. -- Cameron Young tallied 11 kills and Jenna McCullough and Tyler Case added six kills each but Belmont Abbey dropped a 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-11) decision to Francis Marion in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action Friday night.

With the result, the Crusaders fall to 1-12 overall, and 1-5 in league play while the Patriots improve to 8-8, 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sarah Wilson hit .429 with four kills against one error in seven chances. McCullough hit .278 with just one error in 18 chances.
• Case reached double figures in digs for the fourth time in five matches -- and fifth overall -- with 10.
• Ella Schellenberg dished out 24 assists while adding seven digs, while Lily Marsh also tallied seven digs.
• Four different players -- Riley Nickol, Trinity Bradley, Schellenberg and Marsh -- served an ace.
