AUGUSTA, GA. – Lee Carew finished with a pair of under-par rounds as the Belmont Abbey men's golf team opened the 2023-24 season at the Bearcat Fall Invitational Monday at Forest Hills Golf Club.
Based on available results, the Crusaders are currently tied for 10th place with Georgia Southwestern following a two-round total of 582 (290-292). Carew finished with consecutive rounds of 1-under par 71 to open with a 142 total and is 2-under par for the tournament. He is tied for 18th individually.
Nick Norman had the low round of the day for the Crusaders with a 2-under par 70 followed by a 77 (147).
Elian Infante finished with consecutive 1-over par rounds of 73,
Tyler Schaap had a two-round total of 149 (76-73) while
Connor Rose finished with a 154 (79-75) in his first collegiate tournament.
North Georgia (278-276—554) leads the tournament with Columbus State (285-278—563) in second followed closely by USC Aiken (280-287—567).
