HICKORY, N.C. -- Belmont Abbey tuned up for the 2023 Conference Carolinas Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Friday, with 15 participants matching conference qualifying standards at the LR Bears Invitational, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne.
Manny Thompson met the standard in both the shot put and the discus.
The meet was the final action of the regular season. The 2023 Conference Carolinas Championship takes place next weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
