GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey acrobatics and tumbling team won two individual event championships at the Event Finals as part of the Conference Carolinas Tournament Sunday at Lander University.
 
The Crusaders took home a conference title in the Open Toss as well as the Trio Pass as part of the Tumbling event.
 
In the Open Toss, the team of 
Anna Davis, 
Gracie Grady, 
Sydney Singh, 
Madison Quinlan, 
Emily Wueste and 
Lauren Pipes earned a score of 8.975 from a 9.3 start value to clinch the conference title for the third straight year.
 
In the Trio pass, the team of 
Erena Chaples, 
Deanna Woolard and 
Aspen Terrell scored an 8.575 from a 9.1 start value to earn the title for the second time in program history. Belmont Abbey won the title in 2021, the first year for the Event Finals.
 
In total, the Crusaders competed in six events: 6 Element Acro, 450 Salto Toss, Open Toss, Trio Pass, Aerial Pass and the 6 Element Pass.
 
Following the event finals, the All-Conference award winners as well as the Specialty award winners were recognized.
