GAFFNEY, S.C. --
Matteo Miselli and
Matthew Staskunas reached double figures in kills and won two extended sets for a 3-2 (29-27, 15-25, 28-26, 20-25, 15-13) victory over Limestone in men's collegiate volleyball action Wednesday night.
Miselli hit .295 with 22 kills against nine errors in 44 attempts. Staskunas finished with 11 kills and a .250 hitting percentage.
The win avenged a three-set loss to the Saints in Belmont last month. The Abbey is now 11-12, while Limestone falls to 10-9.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Matthew Maxwell dished out 44 assists and eight digs, while Daniel Cerqua tallied a team-high 10 digs with five assists.
- Ethan Rehmann had five kills and two blocks.
- Belmont Abbey served three aces -- one each by Miselli, Staskunas and Jay Beller.
- Beller had a team-best four blocks, followed by Miselli with three.
