CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Macie Tuttanon and Alyson Smith both earned top five finishes in the Group B high jump competition, posting marks that earned them a spot in the Conference Carolinas Championship next month, highlighting the final day of the 49er Classic, hosted by UNC Charlotte.

The duo each cleared 1.50 meters with placing based on fewest previous misses. Tuttanon was second and Smith fifth in the standings.

The Crusaders return to action next weekend at two different meets. Some members of the team will compete at the Winthrop Invitational, while others will be at the Montreat College Open.
