BELMONT, N.C. --
Matteo Miselli and
Matthew Staskunas both reached double figures in kills and Belmont Abbey hit .373 as a team, leading to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 31-29) victory over Lees-McRae in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
With its fourth win in five matches, The Abbey improves to 10-12 overall and 5-4 in league play. The Bobcats fall to 8-9, 4-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miselli hit .259 with 14 kills against seven errors in 27 chances. He added two service aces and two assists to his stat line.
- Staskunas did not have an error against 10 kills in 22 attempts. That equates to a .455 percentage.
- Matthew Maxwell, Ethan Rehmann, Alex Winiarczuk and Jay Beller all hit over .375, although they had significantly fewer chances
- Winiarczyk, who tallied fou  kills, had a team-high six blocks (one solo and five blocks) and a service ace.
- Jay Beller added five blocks and two aces to his four kills.
- Maxwell finished the contest with 31 assists, three digs and a kill.
- Daniel Cerqua equalled Staskunas for team-high defensive honors. He made six digs and had three assists.

- Belmont Abbey faces six straight road matches before the regula-season closes at home.
