CHARLOTTE, N.C. --
Haley Kells set a school record in the heptathlon Friday, finished out the seven events with 3,532 points, highlighting Belmont Abbey's efforts at the 49er Classic.
Kells, who had a career-best 3,147 points in last spring, surpassed the previous best of 3,396 points by Leondra Pridgen in 2014 (3/20-22).
Meghan Little capped the night with a fifth-place finish in the 10,000 meters, earning a berth in the Conference Carolinas Championship.
